Choosing a hotel to stay at in San Francisco is mind-boggling. As one of the most frequented spots in the country for tourism, visitors have their choice of any type of accommodation in many different neighborhoods. We chose to stay at Hotel Zelos right downtown near SoMa and Union Square because we wanted to be close to everything at an art-forward spot with great food. The hotel is in a gorgeous old building, and our room was on a corner with a beautiful rounded turret and an amazing view. The rooms here are bigger than average for the city, so we could really spread out. And perhaps one of the biggest draws of this hotel is the restaurant and lounge. The food was delicious – so delicious in fact, we ended up have breakfast here every morning. And with hundreds of whisky choices at the bar, this is a great place to end the night as well. It was a romantic Valentine’s weekend for David and me, in the city by the bay.
