October 2017: Scotland

Edinburgh has more restaurants and bars per capita than any city in the U.K., and ranks second for coffee shops. Scotland has 13 Michelin-starred restaurants (4 in Edinburgh alone) which is exceptionally high for its size. Aside from the obvious things: gorgeous sweeping landscapes; warm, welcoming locals; incredible history of whisky distilling; and beautiful castles, Scotland is no slouch in the food department. Our trip focused on exploring the scenery, learning history, and taking in as many calories as possible.

If you’re looking at a trip to the U.K and you like eating and having drinks or popping into cafes throughout the day, put Scotland on your list.

Highlights:

  • Hiking up Arthur’s Seat in Edinburgh
  • Isle of Skye seafood
  • Driving through the Scottish Highlands
  • Distillery Tours
  • Baba Budan doughnuts in Edinburgh
